Bond & Smolders is located in the Museumkwartier. The Lijnbaan 9 has been the sweet spot for many Utrechters for some years now. The bakery is famous for its breads but also cakes, chocolates, apple puff pastries and much more. On Saturday morning you will see people queuing to buy bread and sweets for the weekend. Bond & Smolders is the perfect spot for tea or coffee with some sweet pastries or lunch when shopping in the city centre.

I love spending a late Saturday afternoon at Bond & Smolders – which I consider the best bakery in the city – reading a magazine and enjoying a delicious cake with an sweet Italian coffee. Bond & Smolders has a small tea room, so if you can’t find a spot you can buy one of their lovely creations to take away and enjoy at home. Bond & Smolders bakery makes the best appelbollen (apple puff pastries) in the city, one of my favorite treats on a rainy and cold day. Also on the menu of loads of other lunch-room and cafes in Utrecht.
