Explore Utrecht walking route – (re)discover beautiful Utrecht!

Explore Utrecht Wittevrouwen Tour

I got great news! The first Explore Utrecht walking route is a fact. You’ll probably understand that I’m very proud and happy to take you with me to (re)discover the beautiful Utrecht! And the first walk explores the neighborhood Wittevrouwen.

With the iconic Dom tower, medieval wharves, and historic downtown; Utrecht has a rich cultural history. There is a lot to see, experience and taste. Because the city is also rich in cozy and modern coffee shops and restaurants. The perfect combination if you ask us. But it is precisely the lesser-known places and stories that make this city so special. With the walking tour, I would like to share these hidden gems with you and discover the veterinarian grounds in Wittevrouwen (Utrecht-East) together with you.

Explore Utrecht Walking Tour

The tour starts with an introduction to the former university grounds and then the fun can begin. The tour takes about 30 to 40 minutes, which is deliberately not too long. That way you can really absorb all the information and enjoy the sights. I’m not going to give too much away, but you will visit the Horse Cathedral and end up near some coffee shops for a coffee-to-go and Roberto ice cream.

Explore Utrecht Tour in the City Challenge App

To be able to offer this tour I have joined forces with the makers of City Challenge App. In the App store you search for City Challenge App to buy and download it on your phone. Then open the City Challenge App and choose Utrecht, after which you will see some city challenges. Choose the Explore Utrecht walking route to discover the Veeartsenterrein in the beautiful district Wittevrouwen. The route only starts when you are near the starting point. Have fun!

If you’d like to see more culture after the tour, you can use the City Challenge App to discover even more great places.
