Chilling on the canal

On a fresh and newly renovated piece of canal, a temporary walhalla appeared on 1 April. A vision for lovers of beer in mugs and meat off the braai (South African grill). ROOST has set up its terrace in the new Park Paardeveld, right in the bend of the canal.

Beer, grill, and awesome location

What more could you need for a fab afternoon? When the sun is shining, the terrace fills up quickly. You get the sun on your head all day. Take into account that you probably won’t be stopping after a single beer mug. A second is unavoidable and then your stomach will start to grumble from the smell coming from inside.

Stan & Co is behind the South African braai, conjuring banquet-worthy chickens or sausages onto your plate. Ideal circumstances to spend a weekend afternoon.

Don’t wait too long

Imagining yourself lying in a beanbag chair with a mug of beer in your hand and a sausage between your teeth? Seize your chance, because ROOST is only open until October this year. But… if we make that it becomes Utrecht’s summer hotspot, then maybe we’ll get another chance next year.
