The year started well with the opening of several new restaurants in Utrecht city center and surroundings, on the station square and in the old post office of Utrecht. New in our city: hip coffee shop from Rotterdam, second locations up to new concepts.
Lebkov & Sons opened its doors in Utrecht Central Station. The chain from Rotterdam is located at the beginning of the station, where most of us walk from the square to the train. At Lebkov & Sons you can get a coffee and breakfast before you catch the train. The sandwiches, soup, and salads are waiting for you. But you can also buy smoothies and several other drinks. Maybe with a piece of cake?
Vegan Bamboo is located on the station square and offers a menu with all kinds of vegan dishes. Vegan Bamboo offers salads as well as a vegan hamburger. Dishes are to go or you can have a quick bite in the restaurant.
It took a while but finally, the hospitality pavilion in the Zijdebalen was opened. Café – restaurant Ddadi has an extensive menu. You can go for breakfast until dinner. On the menu, you will find sandwiches, pancakes, cakes and more. The café offers several breakfasts so you can start the day well.
At Oosterkade number 30 in the white building on the corner of the Pelikaanstraat, you will find the new restaurant in Utrecht: Spice Monkey. And as the name suggests, there are many spicy dishes on the menu. Spice Monkey is for Bali-lovers! Here you eat Asian-Indo street food. We are curious! You guys as well?
A second establishment for Juuls Hummus and all the locals. At Juuls Hummus you eat delicious hummus with different combinations of vegetables and meat. The vegan cakes from Bammetje bakery. Order a coffee and relax at this nice place.
Izakaya is decorated like a Japanese bar! You can also go loose here in the built-in karaoke cream. You can reserve these separately. So if you might have drunk a little too much Japanese beer or cocktails for some courage, you can go straight to the karaoke room. But you can also fill the evening with tasty snacks and drinks.
